Georgian Windpower Corporation (GWC) has a vision to be a Global Leader in the development of large commercial scale renewable wind energy projects and symbiotic co-generation/co-use green energy facilities that meet stringent financial viability criteria.

Integral to this vision is the creation of sustainable renewable energy systems manufacturing capabilities in the regions in which GWC operates. The company has developed advanced assessment tools and skills to identify the best locations for industrial manufacturing capacity deployment to service the rapidly growing Canadian Windpower marketplace.

Georgian Windpower Corporation believes that sustainable development requires a community-based focus that generates local employment opportunities and long term economic prosperity. With a focus on renewable energy infrastructure and systems deployment GWC is working to support the goals set by Federal and Provincial Governments to reduce GHG gas emissions.

Georgian Windpower Corporation was founded in 2002 as a 100% Canadian Corporation. GWC is in the business of delivering renewable energy solutions focused on capturing Wind Energy through advanced utilization of the world's leading technologies under the management of industry leading experts. GWC follows a business approach that delivers to its consortia members and customers financially viable wind energy project deployments custom tailored to each jurisdiction. GWC project activities are focused on the provision of 2,200MW of renewable energy supply capacity in Ontario and Canada and infrastructure development in support of attaining Canada's goals for 10,000MW of wind power productive capacity with a Made in Canada mandate. GWC is currently engaged in defending its interests (GWC v Stelco).
