There have been numerous news articles about Stelco and Georgian Windpower Corporation - they may be found most easily by searching the Internet. Georgian Windpower Corporation has not been issuing news releases but is open to media inquiries.
With respect to the Georgian Windpower Corporation legal Claim ($350 million ) vs Stelco, there were three Court appearances with the Court upholding the Claim such that it may proceed upon Stelco' exit from CCAA. In the most recent Court appearance (Court of Appeal) the Court granted the Appeal such that the GWC Claim may include the Memorandum of Understanding as part of the Claim. Court costs to date were awarded to GWC (paid by Stelco). Stelco is now operating as a functioning company (post CCAA) and GWC is continuing to pursue its Claim. The legal process includes the disclosure of documents by each side pertaining to the law suit and this process is partially complete. More recently US Steel has acquired Stelco and GWC' Claim continues with the new entities. GWC has reached out to US Steel on two occasions to seek a resolution to the Claim through negotiation but both requests did not result in any return contact. GWC remains steadfast in its Claim. GWC is a private company and is not open to solicitation of shares. However, interested private investors may contact GWC if they wish to discuss options for funding the ongoing legal process.
