Prospecting

A common question asked is –Would you please tell me if there is potential for a wind power project on my land?” Whether we locate a particular area of land that may be suited for commercial wind power development, or you identify one to us for investigation, the prospecting activities remain the same.

We will ask the following key questions in order to confirm the likelihood of a commercial wind power project development on a specific area of land:

-> What is the total area of land available?

-> Is the land continguous?

-> What is the current zoning of the land?

-> Are there any specific environmental restrictions in force?

-> Is the local community favourable to wind power deployment?

-> What are the benefits to the local community of a wind power project?

-> What are the expectations of the current land owners?

-> Is the land near to the electrical grid?

-> Is the local electrical grid capable of supporting a wind power supply?

Based upon these and a number of other questions we then run advanced simulations of the potential wind power project to determine the economic viability of the site. If the results are positive we will then engage in discussions that may lead to a resource assessment study.
